Tennessee Engineering Foundation Scholarship

The Tennessee Engineering Foundation (TEF) awards up to four $3,500 scholarships annually to rising juniors or seniors enrolled in accredited engineering schools in Tennessee. These scholarships may be used for tuition, books, room and board, or any other charges related to registration for the fall or spring semester in the 2022-2023 academic year.

TEF scholarship applications must be submitted by January 21, 2022. Winners will be announced in March.

ACEC Tennessee Scholarship

ACEC Tennessee scholarship winners are submitted for ACEC national scholarship consideration. ACEC Research Institute will award five (5) General Scholarships in 2022, and three (3) specialty scholarships: the Coalition of American Structural Engineers (CASE) Scholarship, the J.A. Watts, Inc. Diversity in Engineering Scholarship, and the Lee Rice LRE Water Scholarship. ACEC Tennessee will select finalists from Tennessee to compete for these national awards. Additionally, ACEC Tennessee will award two $1,000 scholarships from among those finalists.

Council of American Structural Engineers (CASE) Scholarship
Only students who are enrolled in a Master’s degree program for Structural Engineering in fall of 2022 will be eligible for the CASE scholarship. Student must either be in an ABET-accredited MS engineering program or have a BS degree from an ABET-accredited engineering program.

J.A. Watts, Inc. Diversity in Engineering Scholarship
This scholarship will award funding to students of color who have been traditionally underrepresented in the field of engineering. Student must be a U.S. citizen entering their junior, senior, or fifth year, or master’s degree program, pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in an ABET-accredited engineering program or in an accredited land-surveying program.

Lee Rice LRE Water Scholarship
The Lee Rice-LRE Water Scholarship for students entering their junior, senior or 5th year, or pursuing a master’s degree in engineering geology, water engineering or natural resource engineering related fields at an ABET-accredited engineering program or in an accredited land-surveying program. Student must be a U.S. citizen.

The ACEC Tennessee Scholarship is open to students entering their junior, senior, fifth or graduate year in the fall of 2022. To qualify, applicants must be a United States citizen pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a Tennessee engineering or land surveying program from a department with at least one ABET-accredited program. Candidates for the CASE scholarship must be enrolled in a master’s degree program in structural engineering in the fall 2022 semester.

The deadline for submitting an application to ACEC Tennessee is January 21, 2022. Incomplete applications will not be considered. Graduate students must submit both undergraduate and graduate transcripts. ACEC Tennessee scholarship winners will be announced in March 2022, and National the following October.​
